At Elite we believe a student's desire to achieve is far more important than previous performance, so all students with or without school qualifications are encouraged to apply.
It is Elite’s mission to enrol students in tertiary education who show aptitude, potential and commitment to study. Elite is dedicated to meeting individual student needs, whether or not they are successful in the secondary school system.
We are supportive of the increased participation and achievement in all educational activities of Maori and Pasifika students.
A student may start at 17 years of age (or 16 at the discretion of the Campus Manager). Applicants must have completed a minimum of three years at secondary school level. Students must be 17 years of age by the time they sit international exams (which usually fall within the first six months of study). An interest in science, nutrition, biology or communications will be an advantage but not essential.
All students enrolled on courses offering epilation as a module are required to have an eye examination. Mature students are encouraged to apply as there is a strong demand for therapists of all ages in the beauty therapy industry. Elite courses are ideal for mature students who may be looking to train after having children or want a new challenge or a change of career.
Elite uses the Public Trust for fee protection. This ensures that any unused fees are available in the unlikely event of insolvency, regulatory closure or withdrawal of accreditation of the school. This is an NZQA approved method of fee protection. For further information visit the public trust website.
