Certificate in Beautician - Level 4


The Certificate in Beautician (Level 4) will provide you with real insight into the beauty therapy industry and is an ideal launch pad for beginning your beauty therapy training.

As part of this programme you can complete the CIBTAC international certification which will increase your job prospects upon graduation.

Industry rightly demands that graduates have a broad and deep skill base so after completing the Certificate we strongly recommend that you enrol in the Elite Diploma in Beauty Therapy which will greatly increase your chances of gaining employment.

Please note that the duration will be changing from 25 weeks to 52 weeks (including holidays) in 2018.

Course Content

You will be provided with a mix of practical and theory work including:

  • Health, hygiene and cleansing
  • Analysis
  • Massage
  • Masks
  • Electrical machines
  • Makeup, eyelash and brow treatments
  • Manicures and pedicures.
  • Waxing
  • Professional practice and conduct
  • Skin diseases and disorders
  • Business studies
  • Chemistry and physics
  • Anatomy and physiology of the head, face, and neck

Entry Requirements

You must: 

  • Be at least 17 years old

At Elite we believe your desire to achieve is far more important than previous performance. We therefore encourage you to apply whether or not you have school qualifications. 

An interest in science, nutrition, biology or communications is an advantage but is not essential.

Elite's courses are designed to pathway into each other. It is recommended that once you have completed the beautician course you continue further study in order to improve your employment opportunities.

25 weeks including 1 week of holiday. 

In order to gain practical experience you may be required to attend evening and weekend client sessions. As a guide this may include flexible attendance at the campus once a fortnight.
