Lin André – Advanced Skin & Medical Aesthetics Professional
Level 5 Professional Face, Body & Spa Therapies
Elite School of Beauty and Spa graduate, multi-award-winning skin therapist, Registered Nurse and entrepreneur Lin André has continued to evolve her practice since graduating from Elite in 2018.
In recognition of her exceptional work ethic and passion for skincare, Lin was awarded ‘Most Professional Student of the Class’ during her studies at Elite School of Beauty and Spa.
After graduating with a Level 5 Professional Face, Body & Spa Therapies qualification, Lin established herself as an independent skin therapist and entrepreneur, developing a private practice on Auckland’s North Shore. Over the following years, her passion for understanding skin health at a deeper level led her to pursue further study across psychology, physiology, business and clinical practice.
Lin completed a Bachelor of Science at Massey University, with a major in Psychology, and postgraduate study in business at the University of Southern Queensland. Her growing interest in the relationship between the skin, inflammation, stress and overall wellbeing led her to specialise further in corneotherapy and skin barrier health.
In 2022, Lin relaunched her practice as the New Zealand Corneotherapy Institute (NZCI), establishing a distinctive approach centred around skin barrier health, personalised treatment and addressing the underlying factors contributing to compromised skin.
Her work in skin tightening, rejuvenation, rosacea, eczema and scar treatment has since received recognition within the professional skincare industry, including features in DermapenWorld Gold and ProBeauty’s award-winning Best Skin Transformation collections.
Alongside her skin therapy career, Lin continued her clinical education and completed a Master of Clinical Practice in Nursing with First Class Honours, becoming a Registered Nurse. She has since expanded her professional expertise into advanced skin treatments, medical aesthetics and aesthetic medicine, while maintaining skin health and treatment safety at the centre of her practice.
After nine years of practising on Auckland’s North Shore, Lin has now relocated to Oropi, Tauranga, where she practises under her personal professional brand, Lin André.
Today, Lin’s work brings together skin science, psychology, nursing, corneotherapy and aesthetic medicine, with a particular focus on skin health, inflammatory and sensitive skin, scar revision, advanced skin treatments and skin longevity.
“My philosophy has evolved over the years, but the foundation has remained the same: understand the skin, respect its biology and never compromise its health for the sake of a trend.”
Lin is passionate about helping people achieve healthy, resilient skin and age with confidence, while preserving what makes them uniquely themselves. Her approach is evidence-informed, highly personalised and focused on long-term skin health rather than quick fixes or dramatic change.
“Elite gave me the foundation to begin my career in skin therapy, and I will always be grateful for that first step. What started as a passion for skincare has grown into a much broader understanding of skin health, human health and healthy ageing. My work today may look very different from where I began, but the curiosity, care and passion that brought me to Elite are still at the heart of everything I do.”
