Verve Magazine sat down with Lin, Elite School of Beauty and Spa
graduate, multi-award-winning skin therapist and entrepreneur.
In recognition of her exceptional work ethic and passion for
skincare, Lin was awarded ‘Most Professional Student of the Class’ during her
studies at Elite School of Beauty and Spa.
After graduating with a Level
5 Diploma of Beauty and Body Therapies in 2018, Lin attained the work ready
skills to thrive in the industry – first as an independent skin therapist, then
as the Founder of Skincare Ritualist Clinic, a premium holistic skincare
service.
Lin spent over a decade perfecting her craft – pursuing a Bachelor
of Science at Massey University and a postgraduate degree in business at University
of Southern Queensland.
Combining her expertise in holistic skincare, science and
business, Lin relaunched the Skincare Ritualist Clinic in 2022 as the New Zealand
Corneotherapy Institute (NZCI) to promote a new practice called corneotherapy.
As a six-time finalist/winner of the New Zealand High
Performance Practitioner Award, NZCI is a renowned for its scientifically
backed practices that effectively treat the root cause of skin conditions.
Corneotherapy treatment involves assessing the client’s genetic
make-up, lifestyle and diet, then fine-tuning the chemistry between the
epidermal layers of the skin so it becomes almost immune to internal and
external stresses – such as low energy levels, toxins in the air, and the high
volume of processed foods in the western diet.
“My goal is to mainstream corneotherapy as the go-to
holistic skincare treatment so more Kiwis can combat the impacts of the modern
life – without having to break the bank or use harmful products,” says Lin.
